Dr. Edie Shulman earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and her M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. After medical school, she completed a three year Internal Medicine internship and residency at U.T. Houston and then served a year as Chief Medical Resident for the program. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been taking care of patients since 1995.
Before moving to Austin with her husband and two children, Dr. Shulman was an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Houston Medical School. There she treated patients and oversaw the Internal Medicine residents' clinical training. She also directed a first year medical school course for introducing medical students to taking patient histories, performing physical exams and then diagnosing patient conditions. Dr. Shulman's class emphasized that doctor-patient communication is a critical component of good medical care. Dr. Shulman truly enjoys taking care of patients and finding solutions for all types of Internal Medicine issues.
Dr. Angela Shih is a graduate of Harvard University where she received her B.A. in Anthropology. She attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Shih received her Board Certification in Internal Medicine in 2002. Dr. Shih is married to a French engineer and has two sons.
